ERROR while updating DB2 Clob Values;java.lang.AbstractMethodError: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Clob.setString(JLjava/lang/String;)

Hi
we are porting application from Oracle to DB2 ver8.1
We have used db2java.zip driver of DB2.Getting problem while updating CLOB values through Java Code.
we have COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net pacjage for DB2ResultSet,DB2Statement,DB2Prepared statement.
Problem seems to be that
Clob interface define the method for updating Clob values like
setString
setAsciiStream
setCharacterStream

DB2ReultSet returns java.sql.Clob containing DB2Clob object.
DB2Clob does not having implementation for these methods. so when the call has been made to clobObj.setString to update the clob object it gives exception

Reason may be the current DB2 driver db2java.zip does not provide the support to update clob values , it does not having latest method implementation of Clob interface.
same is for Blob values.
Is there any another way to update CLOB,BLOB values in DB2 ver8.1.
