Performance of stored procedures..

Hi

We are having this struggle that no matter what is done from developer's perspecitve (adding new indexes or creating less context switch) and from the dba's side increasing (optimum) the buffer pool size or incrasing sort heap size or reorg data or compress data creating archive tables for old data the performance of db2 stored procedure is very awful and it is growing worst and worst, what are the alternatives, like can we write the same stored procedure in oracle and move data from db2 to oracle since oracle seems to be better database than ibm db2?
