Question
Default Value for TIMESTAMP in DB2
I am using IBM DB2 Database. I need to create a Table with TIMESTAMP columns and i need to give default values for these columns. Following is my script
CREATE TABLE FAX_BACK_INFO(
FAX_BACK_ID INTEGER PRIMARY KEY,
RECIP_NAME VARCHAR(55) NOT NUll,
SENT_TO VARCHAR(30) NOT NULL,
NOTES VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
SENT_ON TIMESTAMP NOT NULL,
SENT_BY INTEGER NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
PURGE_AFTER CHARACTER(1) NOT NULL,
FAX_ID_STR VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
PENDING CHARACTER(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
PRINT_DATE TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DEFAULT '0000-00-00 00:00:00'
FAX_RECOUNT INTEGER NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
FAX_CONFIRM CHARACTER(3) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',
FAX_CONFIRM_DATE TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DEFAULT '0000-00-00 00:00:00'
);
But its not creating. The following is the error iam getting
ERROR [42894] [IBM][DB2/NT] SQL0574N DEFAULT value or IDENTITY attribute value is not valid for column "PRINT_DATE" in table "ADMINISTRATOR.FAX_BACK_IN
