Question

Convet a DB2 integer date (YYYYMMDD format) into a date I can use in a pivot table.

I am using EXCEL 2007 SQL to pull data from an AS400 and need to convert the integer dates (YYYYMMDD format) into dates I can use in a pivot table. I have tried the following satement and get blank data in the COMPDATE column.  Can someone give me guidance?

Select DWSVRTICK.TICKNR, DWSVRTICK.PBMSCD, DWSVRTICK.TCKBAL, DWSVRTICK.TRVLBN, DWSVRTICK.TCDATE, DWSVRTICK.CENTERNBR, DWSVRTICK.TCCENT, DWSVRTICK.STCUS1, DWSVRTICK.PBMSCD, DWARHEADER.ARGLPP, date(timestamp(concat(char(DWSVRTICK.TCDATE)),'000000')) AS COMPDATE
