Rather than delete their mail file and add them as new when they return, I just leve the mail file inactive and then re-enable them when they return. I am using Lotus Notes server on iSeries OS 5.4 with Notes 8.0.5 server and Notes 8.0.5 client. I get one of two errors when I am tring to install the client with one of these notes.id files. ......"requested item does not exist" or "not authorized to connect to server". I uninstalled the client from the comptuer and reinstalled the client. It does not ask me where the notes id file is, it just goes straight to asking for the password. Yes, I deleted the entire lotus folder under program files before I reinstalled. Has anyone had this problem before, and if so how did you fix it?
