Text mining Software (robust applications for emails - used in investigations)

Hello,

I would like to have the top 10 software for TEXT MINING that would be used for among others emails as part of investigations involving searching for key words or strings with complicated formulas like difference between key word1 and key word 2 shouldn't be more than 5 words, etc

Is SQL Server also up to speed with this technology?, if yes, how do I configure it to do text mining of emails..

Of-course depending upon your requirement, we can decide whether SQL Server would be robust or not.

Almost all Major RDBMS like Oracle and DB2 supports Text Mining or Data Mining Features..

Of Course, all RDBMS would consider it as Data Mining instead of Text or Email Mining..

I'm sure there are some applications targeted for forensic research and investigations, are these limited to Oracle and DB2?

Is there any thord party software like DTSearch, this is the kind I'm looking for.

I believe DTSearch is an API doing the Search operations faster from .Net..
Not sure about the performance of those API's because your database needs to be equipped with appropriate indexes for faster data retrieval to support that API.
