Does anyone know what database UPS Worldship 10 uses?

UPS Worldship is installed in a windows XP environment.  It can run either as a stand alone application or in a shared mode utilizing the host PC as the data repository.

I don't know how helpful this is - but from: http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/bussol/offering/worldship/order/requirements.html

"Microsoft® Data Engine (MSDE) or Microsoft® SQL Server (MSDE) does not need to be present on the system prior to installation. However, if present on the system at the time of installation, must be either MSDE 2000 (SP3a or later) or Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 (SP3a or later).

 Note: The WorldShip install/upgrade will install an MSDE 2000 SP4 instance for Windows® 2000/Windows® XP and SQL Express instance for Windows VistaTM."

So - MSDE/SQL Express - and you could view the database with a viewer like SQLBuddy:

UPS uses its own internal proprietary database, linked to its national and global shipping centers.  You can call them to ask if you can view it, but they will say NO, of course. This DB is worth millions to them.

thank you, as soon as i created an 'ODBC SQL' DSN i was able to open and interact with the data tables.
