I'm a bit ignorant to mapping lat/longs on an image but I understand it's called "georeferencing an image"...
So, he's my question and what I would like to do. It will be somewhat vague since I'm not 100% certain of what I should be asking so bear with me... I'm using a Windows Mobile 6 device and VB.Net.
I would like to be able to map my position on a golf course using a static satellite image possibly generated from Google or some other satellite image. So, how does this process take place? Can I simply save my map, georeference it then plot my point on it?
How do I place a point on my newly created image in VB.Net, can I simply use an image box, etc???
I'm on a "fishing expedition" here to see if I want to try and tackle this project so any information you can supply will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
