rendering text in OpenGL ES

I am reading a .dbf file but i am not able to of render the text file using OpenGL ES API. kindly help.

hey Suchismita_b,

not sure what the "ES" stands for, but opengl itsself has no support for rendering text. however, there are several technics:

there is a lib called glFont. you can export each font you have on your machine into a bitmap-file using glFont and in your app you can render those bitmaps using the lib

glut has some text-rendering functions too..

well, if you want to make software for the iPhone, you should get an account there anyway, as far as i know, registering is for free, isnt it?
