Question

Insert and Select statement into Interbase database

I have a working select statement.

When I add the select statement to the insert statement, it gets a general SQL error "Select".

Insert into table(col1,col2,col3.....)
values(Select statement)

The values part should not be there in the above command

When you use the insert/select combination the correct sintax is:
insert into table (col1,col2,col3,...)
select col1,col2,col3... from table [where condition]
