Thanks for reply. Could I use a stored procedure to select the records the view would have selected and then return the result set to the Client?

Browse All TopicsHi All,
I hope this post finds you well.
I need to do something like this using Delphi 7 and Firebird 2.0:
Create this view by calling a stored procedure from my application
CREATE VIEW VW_THEY_OWE_ME(
RecordID,
YouOweMe)
AS
SELECT
VW_PRE_TOTAL.RecordID,
VW_PRE_TOTAL. TotalDue YouOweMe
FROM
VW_PRE_TOTAL
where
VW_PRE_TOTAL.TotalDue BETWEEN X and Y //Note: X and Y are parameters
Then I want the client refer to it and use it for a bit.
Then I want to call another procedure to drop it.
Can this be done? Can you provide an example?
There is a long reason why I want to do it this way. If explaining will help, I'll post it.
Thanks for all of your help.
