Asked by Skygizmo in Delphi IDE, Interbase / Firebird Database
Hi Experts,
I use Delphi 7, Firebird 2.0, and Asta
I hope this finds you well. I have a multi tier application. When the client closes the application, it saves data to local disk. When client opens application, my code checks for any changes, deletions, or additions to the table since the suitcase file was created. I use this this method on tables such as Customer_Table that are used to populate lookup lists. That part works swell.
I need some kind of test to determine if the underlying structure of the table has changed since the suitcase data was saved. For example I may have added, dropped, renamed, or changedge the fromat of an existing field? When such a detection occurs, I''l just dump the suitcase file and hit the server for the whole table?
