Mostly you need to feed ready made output to a printer using cups, lpr-ng, lpr or lpd.
LDAP is about users information... If it about configuring identified user access then you should have a document with the printer that tells you how to configure access to an LDAP based authentication server.
And the previous expert probably meant LDAP server in stead of the Exchange server. Ohterwise he correct in the information needed.

Usually, you need:
A username and password that can browse the LDAP tree
Exchange must have LDAP access enabled (usually is by default)
The search base, e.g. dc=com,dc=companyname, dc=users
The IP address or hostname of the exchange server.
