I’m installing SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard for the first time in a Windows domain environment.<br />
A few questions and assumption I’m making around the install.<br />
<br />
1) &nbsp;Install SQL server using the domain admin account.<br />
2) &nbsp;From the instance and shared features to install should I select all? &nbsp;Are there any I don’t really need for a normal standalone instance?<br />
3) &nbsp;In terms of the SQL Services running on the server any reason why I just can’t use local system account for all of these?<br />
4) &nbsp;In account provisioning I would be recommended to use mixed mode and for Windows domain based SQL administration select a domain account with local server admin but not the domain admin account. &nbsp;For SA just create a good password?<br />
