I've "re-installed" everything from NT 4 Option pack, MDAC, SQL Server, on down to Office 97. Nothing seems to cure the apparently mismatched DLLS. Does anyone know how to "reinstall the ODBC components" to fix this problem?

download the MDAC2.1 from www.microsoft.com/data/dow nload.htm and follow the links.
What it is is that one of the two files mentioned above have been avoerwritten by and older/newer version.
I had the problem and downloaded 2.0 (latest version at the time) and it fixed it.
