How to query using LONG datatype (Oracle 8.0.5)

Asked by mreaume in Databases Miscellaneous

Tags: long, oracle, datatype

I need to query the contents of a long column and haven't had any success.

I'm pretty sure I can't accomplish this with SQL+ or TOAD so I'm trying to find out if there is a way to pipe the contents of my query to a text file.

I've tried it in SQL+ using spool, but I don't get all the data.

Is this even possible to do?
