yes basically they are the same (if you only got 1 then its the wharehouse, ...)

think
wharehouse - big general questions about a large chunk of the orgaisations Business
Mart - a smaller subset more optimised to answering much more specific questions
whether that down to subject area, or frequency of data refresh....

Everyone can probably give you different definitions, but basically, it comes down to a DataMart is a small piece of the data warehouse. A data warehouse is usually comprised of multiple datamarts.
Basically, a datamart is a small section of data that is specific to a department or a small group of people. The data warehouse is usually created to be used by the enterprise or the orginization.
