Export SQL to text file through Code

Does any one know how I can export the results of an SQL statement straight to a text file through code.

i.e  select * from tablename would immediately create a text file in a specified location with the output of this query.

I do not want to simply set the output to file in query analyser as I would like to run this as a nightly job.
