i try to use the DIRECTORY feature with the commands listed above in order to execution
first i create a phisical directory c:\tmp
and file names.txt with the next information:
1,Juan
2,Adrian
3,David
then i connected to oracle database whit system user and create the directory:
create directory temporal as 'c:\tmp';
grant read, write on directory temporal to scott;
connect scott/tiger@mybase
CREATE TABLE my_names
(code_name VARCHAR2(1)
,full_name VARCHAR2(100)
)
ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL
(TYPE oracle_loader
DEFAULT DIRECTORY temporal
ACCESS PARAMETERS (fields terminated BY ',')
location (temporal:'names.txt')
) ;
now i try to run a select statement:
select * from my_names
and i receive the next error:
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
ORA-29400: data cartridge error
...
help me please
