I don't know where to post this so I'll start here. I've written a program that is used by franchise companies (local) to track items sold to customers. The franchise corp would like for each local to be able to input the order on the local computer then have the order upload into franchise corp via the web so no paper orders and no processing is required. Franchise corp currently has a web site where locals order but this requires redundant processing for local. My program is vb6 with access backend. Corp web site has a access backend. The goal is for local to be able to upload orders and corp to be able to download price updates and new products.
I'm not sure what my questions should be but for starters:
1. Is there a third party solution that would handle all transfers?
2. Is vb a reasonable language to use for this?
3. Where do I start?
