Thanks pkumarra, I know I need to use </br> in HTML.
Is the carriage return preserved in the query?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsHello,
I am building a PHP web application that queries a Microsoft Access 2003 database. I display the result of the query in a web page.
One of the fields in the database might have multiple lines of text.
For instance, the field in the database looks like this, where it has two lines of text:
Front Desk Computer
ASSY SMART FR DESK CLONED
My problem:
The result of my query does not preserve the carriage return, so the query looks like a single line of text.
Front Desk Computer ASSY SMART FR DESK CLONED
It seems like the query ignores the carriage return.
My question(s):
Is it possible to retain the carriage return in the query?
If not possible, is there is a workaround?
Thanks.

How are you displaying the result, in a webpage as HTML?
Carriage returns won't be preserved in HTML unless you convert them into <br>.
