How (in Netezza SQL) calculate the number of days until someone's next Birthday from today?

I need the raw SQL in Netezza to calculate the number of days until an individual's next birthday from today.

Table has: individual id, birthdate (as date field)

Today is 1/17/2008
My birthday is 1/20/1980
so the SQL should return 3 because it is 3 days until my next birthday.

It should also account for situations such as:
Today is 1/17/2008
My birthday is 1/2/1980
so the SQL should return 352 because it is 352 days until my next birthday.

declare @getdate
set @getdate = getdate()

select datediff( day, @getdate, dateadd( year, 1 + datediff( year, t.birthdate, @getdate), t.birthdate ))
from tbl t

How it works
gets the number of years old
gets previous birthdate - adds one year to get next birthday
gets days between now and next birthday
