Question
Cannot connect to Database error "Connection failed with SQLstate 08001"
I have 4 machines in our boxing warehouse, they use FEDEX Ship software and an ODBC to connect to our database. I set up all the ODBC the same but one machine (no different then the rest) is giving me an error when I test the connection of the ODBC. The error reads "Connection failed with SQLstate 08001"
I looked this up online but only seem to come across this error when its associated with other errors.
Does anyone know what this is and how I can solve it?
All four of the machines are running XP Pro, and our server is Windows Server 2003.

What is the remaineder part of the error? Is it listed in
http://support.microsoft.c
Did you configure the odbc connection as a System DSN? When you are on the, "Create new data source...", click the client configuration. Here you would need to check named pipes. Check the other systems and their odbc connection settings. Are you sure they are the same, windows firewall status, system IP?
