Limits for an Append Query

Asked by vlvawter in Databases Miscellaneous, Microsoft Access Database, SQL Query Syntax

I was in the process of creating an append query.  About 1/2 of the fields have default values; so, I have so set up when I designed the table.

I have entered 16 columns in my query: first field = this, fourth field = that, etc.

I have a few more to go, but Access will not allow me to add any more columns!  Usually, simply pressing tab will put my cursor into the next column.  Not now.  It simply stays in this last column.

What am I overlooking?
