Hi,
iam actually using a sequence generator to populate the dim_dept table and then use that sequence as the lookup for populating dim_emp table.How is it possible? Please help.

My first suggestion.
You should break this into 2 mappings since one mapping (emp load) depends on the other (dept load). You can create 2 sessions (one for each mapping) within Workflow Manager and then have them both run within a single Workflow (dept load first then emp load).
Regarding your lookup...
You MUST (with a connected lookup like you are using) provide the lookup transformation with an input (the value you are "looking up"). In your case, it looks like you will need to add DEPTNO in the DIM_DEPT target, and then you would use DEPTNO from the EMP table to lookup into the DIM_DEPT table to get the DEPT_DKEY.
Make sense? If not, I might be able to put something together quickly in PC.

From the picture it says that you are not populating dept_dkey1 from the source qualifier. You can use an unconnected lookup, but it must be called from somewhere, usually an expression transformation. Try connecting the deptno (if that is your key) to the input in the lookup.
