Asked by krishnamus in Databases Miscellaneous, SQL Server 2005
a> For the backup of our SQL 2005 Database file we create one maintenance plan/instance. This plan will take backup as a form of .bak and .trn and it will do the cleanup of two days old .bak and .trn files. We have observed that it is taking the backup abut cleanup is not performed and this in turn fill the disk space.
Please suggest on this.
b> How should we estimate the disk space required to keep the database files (.mdf, .ldf) and one day's backup in place.
