Dell SAS Raid Controller ID: 0 Unexpected sense
Hi,
I am getting an notification from one of our server box like this,I just have a feeling it may be losing the connection from the one of the RAId 0 disk drive.
we are using Dell SAS Raid 6/ir Adapter controller.

You should contact Dell Support, they can let you run a DSET report on your server to better analyze the problem, sometimes it resolved by upgrading firmware and raid driver on the system, for checking latest firmware/drivers you can download the latest Dell SUU DVD form their FTP site

While I re-booted the server,I have received a few more alerts like this "Controller ID: 0 Unrecoverable medium error during rebuild: PD 0:0 Location 0x8603ceb4 Generated on:Shortly after Reboot" which indicates it's a faulty media.
I have taken out one of the hard disk and degraded the Raid-1,it eventually stopped the alert notifications.
So I am assuming that the alert went off because of the faulty hard disk rather than a RAID controller issue.

You can get this error message if all of the drives are not from the same manufacturer (make/model).
