The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

complex subselect. please help...

Asked by wellkord in MySQL Server

Hi, I am trying to make a program about monitoring garments production. And now I am having trouble to retrieve bundles that have been finished sewing but were not inspected. A bundle is consider finished if all operations are done.

This is some part of my database table: BundleCode(Bundle_Code,FK_Ope_Id,FK_Bundle_Id); WorkHistory(His_Id,FK_Bundle_Code,started,Time_Ended); InspectionRecordItem(Ins_Id,FK_Bundle_Id);

The table BundleCode is created base on the number of operation for each bundle. And every operation done are store in WorkHistory by means of Bundle_Code.

I have think of a subselect query that should work(maybe). But I am having a hard time to convert this query to be supported by MySQL 2.23:

SELECT FK_Bundle_Id
FROM WorkHistory,BundleCode
WHERE WorkHistory.FK_Bundle_Code=Bundle_Code
AND FK_Bundle_Code IN (SELECT MAX(Bundle_Code)
FROM BundleCode WHERE FK_Bundle_Id NOT IN (SELECT
FK_Bundle_Id FROM InspectionRecordItem) GROUP BY
FK_Bundle_Id) AND Time_Ended IS NOT NULL;

Maybe there is an easy way to do this. Could anyone please help me... I have also tried to use temporary tables but it is very slow(maybe my style in querying is bad). Please help me to convert this. Thanks a lot.
