Question

VERY LIMITED PERMISSIONS

I need to grant a user ONLY INSERT AND SELECT commands, NOTHING ELSE.  How do I do that in MySQL with ease very simply?  I also need that user to work with all the databases available on the server, so please keep that mind.

and then if I wanted (sorry) to add a localhost only how could I do that?  just after the TO put in '@localhost' or something?

Yikes... I'm able to do a lot here... I'm able to even create tables :(  I don't know if this si working properly... do I need to um restart mysql when I make a change like this or something maybe?

if the user already has more power, then granting him will not take those away.
you might need to REVOKE those permissions first...

interesting... I revoke all permissions for sla_limited and it says it has an error :(
