MySQL word count/regexp

Hello,

I have a MySQL table with a column containing text (multiple words). I'm trying to SELECT rows from the table based on the number of words in the text column.
The cases are: exactly N words in the column, N or more words, N or less words.

for example:

- SELECT all the rows where the text contains EXACTLY two words, eg "hello world", "one two", etc
- SELECT all the rows where the text contains two OR MORE words, eg "hello world", "one two there", "the quick brown fox..." etc
- SELECT all the rows where the text contains three OR LESS words, eg "hello world", "one two there", "single" etc

Ideally, I would like to be able to handle multiple spaces, tabs, etc between words as well, eg "one two three"
Any help would be great.
