The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Website Page Creation Form

Hi I am an IT analyst and look after servers etc. A couple of months ago I created a basic website for my team using HTML. Now my Senior Manager saw that and thought I know about creating website and yesterday gave me a responsibility that i could not turn down. Though requirement is pretty simple but i have no idea how to go about it. All he needs is :

A single page with 2 fields. One would be a email field which would be optional to fill and the other would be a normal text box. Anyone within the team would open the page(no login is required) fill up the text box and submit which would result in the information in the text box to be sent to a specific email address specified at the backend(its not clear as of now whether the information should/would be shown on the page as well or not. )

Hope the requirement is clear, now i dont need specific codes(having it would be nice though) all i need is if someone can tell me how to go about creating this page. Most probably i would need a database server and all and I dont know how to connect a basic html page to connect to a database server.
Though I have worked on Mediawiki and was thinking that i would create it using mediawiki but then it seems configuring mediawiki for a 1 page website would be cumbersome.

Any help would be much appreciated.
