Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How to publish a  mysql5 database to a windows based production server

I have a mysql 5 database which runs in a coldfusion dev. environment on my desktop and everythings fine. I am having a problem getting the mysql5 database uploaded to the windows based server. I started off by
just ftp's the database, but lost all the tables. The mysql5 is correctly registered on my windows server - so it just a matter of getting the database from my desk to the server, without loosing the files.

My production server suppoorts ASP Net 2 and PHP5.

From my research so far, I understand I need to generate a .SQL file from my database locally, then upload it and then somehow or other reconstitute the mysql database on the server.

Can someone point me to a tool or a clear process as to what I need to do. Many thanks in advanceStart Free Trial
