The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Connecting to remote MySQL database - ASP or PHP?

I have a html form that at present posts to an asp page, that sends an email confirmation and populates an access database.  Because I want to query this database remotely (ie from our intranet, the db is on our isp's webserver) I was going to implement the db in MySQL.  I have done this and everything looks fine.  Next step however is putting the db on the webserver and forming a connection.

My question is, would it be easier to rewrite my asp page into php and do it this way, or is asp relatively straightforward to connect to MySQL?

Apologies if I sound slightly ignorant, I have more of a hardware background and am learning steadily!
