The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

SELECT command denied to user 'user'@'ip' for table 'tablename'

Asked by Dargor in MySQL Server, SQL Query Syntax, .NET Framework 2.x

Tags: , , , ,

I am using a shared hosting service. My application is ASP.NET and I am using MySQL DB V5.0.23-c-nt

I get the error "SELECT command denied to user 'user'@'ip' for table "municipio" when I try to execute the following query:

SELECT municipio0_.id_municipio as id1_14_1_, municipio0_.st_nombre as st2_14_1_, municipio0_.id_estado as id3_14_1_, estado1_.id_estado as id1_8_0_, estado1_.st_nombre as st2_8_0_ FROM zibler.municipio municipio0_ inner join zibler.estado estado1_ on municipio0_.id_estado=estado1_.id_estado WHERE municipio0_.id_municipio=68

"municipio" and "estado" are the names of my tables

I know the query works because when I test it in local it returns the values correctly, unfortunately I am trying to run this in shared host environment. I have contacted their support team but they claim that I have all the necessary select permissions for my DB/User.

I want to understand what the real problem is, so I can go and have the support team fix it (they don't seem to be able to figure it out on their own).

Thanks for the help in advanced.
