The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Query Performance

Asked by Nakuru1234 in MySQL Server

The following query is causing the bottle neck / transaction timeout. (The query is generated by hibernate from an SQL statement.)

select ordertype1_.id as id33_, ordertype1_.version_number as version2_33_, ordertype1_.name as name33_, ordertype1_.description as descript4_33_

from ORDERS orders0_ inner join ORDER_TYPE ordertype1_ on orders0_.order_type_id=ordertype1_.id, ORDER_STATUS orderstatu2_
where orders0_.order_status_id=orderstatu2_.id and orders0_.account_id=409820
and orderstatu2_.name<>'Order Complete' and orderstatu2_.name<>'Order Cancelled'
and  not (exists (select processflo4_.system_id from PROCESS_FLOW_SYSTEM_ASSOCIATION processflo4_, PROCESS_FLOW_PROVIDER processflo5_, PROCESS_FLOW processflo6_, PROCESS_FLOW_STATE processflo7_
where processflo6_.process_flow_state_id=processflo7_.id
and processflo4_.process_id=processflo6_.id
and processflo4_.provider_id=processflo5_.id
and concat(orders0_.id)=processflo4_.system_id
and processflo5_.name='intraoss'
and processflo7_.name='aborted'));

My current thinking is that the PROCESS_FLOW processflo6_ could cause a bottle neck because it returns all the rows in the PROCESS_FLOW table (34267).

Please can you suggest any performance enhancements that can be applied to this SQL / TABLE definition? TIA...
