Creating index for this query

Hi,

I have a table with this column:

item = varchar(16)
site = varchar(50)
system = varchar(50)
received = datetime

And I constantly use this query:

SELECT item FROM mytable WHERE site='abc' AND system='def' AND DATE(received)=CURDATE();

Of course the site and system are varies.

How to speed this up?

Because I got some logs in the slow query log about the above query.

I think by adding an index, right? But how?
