Thanks for your help but I dont uderstand the command \.moodle.txt Im a beginner with Linux. Do I insert that command or is that stating the directory where the moodle.txt file is?

Browse All TopicsI have a test setup of moodle on a windows platform. I have used the command mysqldump -u root -p moodle>moodle.txt to create a dump file of my database and that has worked successfully. I have now have mysql database on Redhat Enterprise Server 5 and now Im trying to import the file into mysql database. When I run the command mysql -u root - p -h localhost moodle<moodle.txt I get the error below:
bash: moodle.txt: Input/output error
What am I doing wrong and where do I place the dump file? Thanks

If you have the mysql-shell open just use
mysql -u root - p -h localhost moodle
.......
\. moodle.txt
