The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Sync MySQL Servers from 2 different locations

I have a web Mysql database that I need to sync to a Mysql Intranet network database. I cannot connect to the network database from the web but I should be able to connect to the web database from the intranet.

Some tables will have not change on the web (used for select querying only), the editing will be only locally on the network. Other tables will be just the opposite, edited only online. And some may be edited in both places (this I have to think if this is best).

I've read of several ways to make this work, and have some ideas, but I've never done this before, so any advice of the best method would be appreciated. I just want to see if I am thinking in the right direction or missing something or just completely lost.

Oh and if relevant, the web and intranet pages are in PHP
