how copy data from one table to another

Hi Folks,

I'm after a working example of how I can copy some of the data from the various fields within 1 table to the fields within another table.

Lets take a look at two of my tables:
[phpbb3.phpbb_users]
user_id, user_type, group_id, user_permissions

and
[oldforum.users]
uid, name, password, class, realname, email,

So want I want to do is build a big query and copy all the data in oldforum.users.uid and put that into phpbb3.phpbb_users.user_id, followed by a query for the permissions. That would be copy all data from oldforum.users.class to phpbb3.phpbbusers.user_permissions. etc etc. There are another 20 more colums of data that would need to follow the same format as I listed there.

I have over 14,000 rows in my colums so there is alot of data to move. I don't need to do it the most CPU efficent way. I just need to get it done achiving the correct end result.

Perhaps someone could post an example of how this could be done? I'm trying to have this all in 1 big query rather than building multiple individual ones.
