Mysql statement error

Hello ,

Im trying to excute this php function . There is error in the mysql sytax I guess I cant insert the values in to the database .

   Please correct the syntax errors . Database fields name are correct I checked ..

None of the sql statements are working .. !

Hello,

First sql statement, replace  :

'".$hidShippingFirstName."'',
by
'".$hidShippingFirstName."',

You have more than one simple quote at the end : " ' '

See this example:
$sql="INSERT INTO Persons (FirstName, LastName, Age)
VALUES
('$_POST[firstname]','$_POST[lastname]','$_POST[age]')";

So, in your case, all SQL statements should be as per this first corrected SELECT:
$cart_check =  mysql_query("select * from tbl_cart where ct_session_id ='. $sid .')";
Even the dots/periods i.e. '.' may not be necessary. So:
$cart_check =  mysql_query("select * from tbl_cart where ct_session_id ='$sid')";
