Browse All TopicsHey,
I got a quick question about views in MySQL:
This is the question:
MovieStar(name, address, gender, birthdate)
MovieExec(name, address, cert#, netWorth)
Create a view ExecutiveStar giving the name, address, gender, birth date, certificate number and net worth of all individuals who are both executives and stars.
This is what I got:
CREATE VIEW ExecutiveStar AS
SELECT name, address, gender, birthdate, cert#, netWorth
FROM MovieStar, MovieExec
WHERE MovieStar.name = MovieExec.name;
The question I have is, in the SELECT statement, I am including attributes that are in one, or both, would that cause a problem? Would I be better off using SELECT *?
Thanks in advance!!!

Dont use SELECT * , instead specify the columnnames
