I have a calculated measures which is a converted to member with strToMember. This returns a dateTimr field in string format. I need to convert that into Date only (no Time). How can I do that for calculated measures in MDX? Are there any MDX date functions that can convert a string to a date?
Thanks

I found an even better solution - to use strongly typed StrToMember function in MDX (in case your calculated member is stored as a dateTime in OLAP)
.Member.Properties(propert
This situation is certainly preferable if we want to implement it in code (calculated measure is generated in code) and/or we provide an interface to the client to create custom Calculated Measures

Try using
Left(xxxx,10)
in your calculated measure (assuming the value is in the format dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm or mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm) this will just strip off anything after the date
I can't test it at the moment, but I'm pretty sure you can use Left() in an expression...
