Applying Oracle Text related patches to Oracle 10g Express Edition setup

Hi,
I've tried applying the 10.2.0.3 patch to an existing installation of Oracle Express Edition. But Oracle universal installer does not seem to recognize the oracle home directory.

Alternatively, is it possible to apply manually Oracle Text related patched in 10.2.0.3 to existing Oracle 10g Express Edition setup?
