an error: " ORA-12549: TNS quoaa exeeded .. operating system quota exeeded". I am using
Window's Media Center (a version of XP, as I believe). I creation failed as the Assistant says in
the end however it did created some database and control files in the database directory.
My questions is: has the database been created? How can I use the Enterprise Manager to check
and manage a newly created database. Currently, when I start the EM, it is on the "orcl"; is it
the default database, or the metadata database? Thanks

I saw these by running the emctl command
" C:\Documents and Settings\Ze Zhang>emctl status dbconsole
Environment variable ORACLE_SID not defined. Please define it. "
In C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\D
related to the new database (which I named as TESTONE), created by the Confuguration
Assistants.
Sorry, I am kind of confused; can one server computer only hose one database (one SID)
or it can host many databases (as in say MySQL/Linux system)? I installed 10g
on my computer (Window Media Center), the web Enterprise Manager seems
working alright if I use the link: http://192.168.1.4:5500/em
But it opens up the "orcl" database showing database: orcl login page.
My questions is how can I have a login page for the database (another one)
I have just created, say TESTONE, assuming that EM can manage all the
database(s) on the server computer. Of course, if your answer was
it can manage only one database per server computer, then never mind.
Thanks all the same.
Thanks
OK, here is what I got
C:\Documents and Settings\Ze Zhang>set ORACLE_SID=TESTONE
C:\Documents and Settings\Ze Zhang>emctl status dbconsole
OC4J Configuration issue. C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\D
_192.168.1.4_TESTONE not found.
Does this supposed to be setup by the EM configuration at the end of database creation
which has failed? The configuration assistant said EM for the new database
can be configued manually by using ..bin\emca scripts .. Any idea about this?
Thanks.
