The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

i am printing some 200 rows from a table. the selection criteria is
cursor c1  is
select   * from (select v.*, dense_rank () over (order by created desc)
as rank from tserial where serial =psn and station = p_stn
                      and operation = oper and grp l= p_typ and item_number = p_itm and status = p_stat)
            where rank < rmax+1 order by ended desc;

to give an example to the scenario. its like the item_number here is different types of SHIRT. So it can be half-sleeves shirt, full sleeves shirt, sleeveless shirt, etc. So when you manufacture different models of these shirts, each will have different serial numbers. When you test one shirt it will get assigned one serial number. when you test it may pass the criteria or may fail. if it fails then its re-tested, and it may or maynot fail. but one serial is re-tested till it passes. Whenever one shirt is tested it will have a testid.

Item      Serial      P/F      TestID      Ended
Number
250058      120191      Pass       68743      8/3/2007 18:02
250058      120191      Fail      68744      8/3/2007 17:52
250058      120191      Fail      68745      8/3/2007 7:31
250058      120195      Pass      835163      7/11/2007 15:34
250058      120195      Fail      835164      7/11/2007 15:27
250058      120195      Fail      835165      7/11/2007 0:05
250058      120195      Fail      835166      4/1/2007 0:32
250058      120195      Fail      835167      3/31/2007 20:40

I want to add another column in the end such that if its a 1st test for a serial number then 1 should come for second test 2 sould come and so forth. i have the time ended. how can i get 1,2,3...etc?

any help?
