The Solution Rating System

  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. urgent:concatenate and separate in a query

hi

i have a variable in which i want to store 2 values
itemnumber and serialnumber.
such that my var1=itemnumber+serialnumber
is it possible to seperate this in a query?

like in my pl/sql cursor i receive this var1 which i want to run as
select * from tablename
where item=itemnumber
and serial=serialnumber
i want to separate in the query rather than before the query ...
i hope i am clear. so maybe i need to use decode.
