The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. OLTP systems and Partitioning

Hello, We are considering to partition certain tables in our 10.2.0.3 database.
         Based on our data, we have identified that only HASH paritionion is possible
        to distribute data/indexes evenly across partitions.

        90% utilization of the system is OLTP type. Only nightly and weekly jobs will be
        batch load types. Now question is would we get any benefit by partitioning our data
       using oracle partitioning? Most of OLTP queries tesnd to use indexes and do not benefit
       from partitioning. Please advise on pros/cons of using Oracle partitioning for OLTP systems.
