Oracle / SQL query issue

What is the problem of this query and i'm not getting any results even though if i execute the query without the to_date(o.ORDERDATE,'dd/mm/yyyy') >= to_date('07/02/2008','dd/mm/yyyy') and to_date(o.ORDERDATE,'dd/mm/yyyy') <= to_date('12/03/2008' ,'dd/mm/yyyy') i'm getting results for those days.
