folks i have three colums

id      description      status
id1      car      appr
id2      house      comp

how do i show the rowcount iof all the columns in each colum ,and how do i show the count of rows with status appr like so:

id      description      rowcount      status      statuscount appr
id1      car      2      appr      1
id2      house      2      comp      1

all help will do
