O.k.
I understand that data and timestamps both are stored as numbers in the underlaying Oracle database.
My application requires returning the number of seconds since Julian start of time.

Currently, we do the math formula in C++ (it is an OCCI, and multitheaded application). It costs so much time for million of rows.
we can do views /materialized views and so forth!
my question, can I utilize the TO_NUMBER function or something else. so that we can get the underlaying number!!Start Free Trial
